Coast Strata Services is currently looking for an energetic and outgoing professional to join our team and assist in writing depreciation reports and building inspection reports.
About Coast Strata Services

Your workload will be based on the volume of projects you are comfortable with managing and works within your personal schedule.
Our core company service is providing depreciation reports and strata building inspection reports for strata corporations across Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands.
Professional Qualifications
Effective July 1, 2025, the Strata Property Act and regulations specify six professions which can prepare depreciation reports. These six professions are: engineers, architects, applied science technologists, certified appraisers, certified reserve planners, and quantity surveyors. Please do not apply for this position if you are not one of the above professionals and are not in good standing with your professional certifying organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Be courteous, friendly, outgoing, and helpful to our clients
- Meet with clients to discuss building or property components, maintenance requirements and building history
- Complete, in a timely manner, depreciation and building inspection reports, submit them to the clients, and proactively respond to Client feedback
- Maintain a valid driver’s licence and an insured vehicle to get to and from inspection sites
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive
- Familiarity with building inspections, cost estimating and construction standards (prior experience with writing depreciation reports or commercial building inspections is considered an asset)
- Physically fit enough to climb ladders, access roofing systems and occasionally crawl through an attic or crawlspace
Salary Range $75,000.00 – $150,000.00.
Compensation is based on productivity, client satisfaction and overall contribution to the company. The position will receive a base salary plus a percentage of work billed by the employee, paid on a bi-weekly basis. This enables employees to develop a workload that suits their work/life balance, and income increases as the employee becomes more experienced or has more time to take on additional projects.
